This episode features an "Angela Project" prayer service held in July during the Baptist World Alliance annual gathering in the Bahamas. Leaders during the service included Word&Way Editor & President Brian Kaylor, Kasey Jones and Paul Baxley of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, Starlette Thomas of the D.C. Baptist Convention, and Forrest Harris of American Baptist College. The service came from a prayer guide created by Simmons College of Kentucky to lead up to the 400th anniversary, on August 20, of the arrival of the first enslaved Africans in what is now the United States.
